![]() ![]() Burning Man performs collectivist attitudes at an annual week-long festival each August in the Black Rock Desert of rural Nevada, which convenes more that 70,000 participants, or “Burners,” today. Larry Harvey and Jerry James were the initiators of the bohemian celebration that has since expanded to become a space and experience for an intentional, utopian community and extreme creativity to emerge ( Rohrmeier and Starrs 2014).
