This is why I feel like I have to express some concerns that have been getting louder in my head every time I reread Capitalist Realism. Without having known him personally, I have met many who've been tremendously influenced by his signature blend of comfort and inspiration - a simultaneous assurance that you're not alone and a call to arms because things can't go on like this. I can think of no other writer who has so convincingly conveyed a ubiquitous experience of feeling broken and anxious while also giving it a clear sense of meaning.
